This inflammation is often due to an infection known as Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis. Though certain types of cough can be treated and some are life threatening. Occasional coughing is considered a bit normal but Treatment depends on what’s causing the cough. Options include cough suppressants, antibiotics, steroids or other drugs. Asthma can’t be cured in pets or people, but you can manage it. It might be possible that your vet would ask you the lifestyle of your pet.
