Once A Pet Always A Pet

When I had my very first dog, I remember my mom telling me to be prepared for a whole lot of responsibility that is coming my way. That time I didn’t realise until I had my dog right in my arms that very evening. Like any other teen child, I had thought about my pet dog so much that I started to learn more on pets. Since my mom during her early years owned a beautiful Russian Samoyed, she knew how to teach her children around pets. Growing up in a family where the treatment towards Animals were same as Human child, it wasn’t difficult for us kids to know how to be ‘kind’ towards Animals.

As we siblings await for the driver to arrive that evening, it seemed as if the clock stopped ticking. Our hearts were beating so fast that we couldn’t resist and started asking our mom that when is our Dog arriving. While we bothered our mother asking about the Dog, we got to know that finally our pet has arrived in a pack of fresh raw meat and in the midst of it lies a beautiful beige and golden colour English country side dog, whom we named her ‘Sandy’. Our very first family dog who filled our lives with utter joy and happiness that we forgot out worries and just got engrossed in her frolics. She. lived her precious 13 years of life in a peaceful environment with her partner in crime ‘Blackie’.

They both might be of the same breed but had a year and a half difference. It’s been more than 2.5 decades, none of the Pet Dog was able to replace the other because each and every pet hold their own space. Not less and not more, for me my Dogs have been the most loyal and sincere friend ever!

It wouldn’t be wrong if they say Dogs are man’s best friend!
