I grew up in a family where I was taught values and morals and the basic morality that I was taught to be kind and polite with everyone and every living being, though it was not a lesson that I used to be getting all along, but it was something that I learned within the household, where my parents and grandparents played a vital role in building a strong personality of children. I, for that matter, I feel in all these years, I have groomed and worked on myself as to how I can be a better person. The early days of my life went by having pets around in the house, some stray cats, our Australian Parrots pets, in those days, we didn’t have cell phones like in today’s era, nothing was on social media, as no one used to talk about it as there was no awareness or existence of Computers as well, it wasn’t common, and I am referring about 80s. My mother was made it a point that we had parrots at home, she used to feed them and then my elder sisters did, we had around 6 Australian Parrots and of different colors, at that time I only used to wonder, why do we cage birds. The only thing that I never understood, until I grew and started to learn things about how the world goes, and how the people of the world are, manipulated, selfish and selfless. With time and age, I realized that no one will actually tell you what is right or wrong, it is only family who will stick up to you in all times. It was my mother who taught us how to be careful while handling birds, she also is an animal enthusiast and I must say, it is her who has trained all the Dogs who we had as pets. All of them listen to her, so basically it is like, even the animals in the house know who the boss of the house is.
Children learn from home, and it is the parents who are supposed to guide their children, teach them the difference between the right and wrong, and the basic and far most important thing is to teach them empathy. Nowadays, I have witnessed that parents are not at all paying attention to what their child is doing. They are not even bothered how their child behaves in and around animals. The point which is always neglected is that parents don’t have the time to invest in children, they are themselves very hooked up with their schedule that they don’t find the time of giving valuable time to their children. In which, the young lot takes advantage and start to implement their ideas in order to explore their thoughts and work on the poor animals. It will sound absurd and unpleasant if I’d say, that the children nowadays are so into the Netflix, that whatever they watch online, they implement on another child or animal, it is that concerning and when the animal is reached in the hospital, either the owner disowns the animal or even doesn’t claims it and leave it on the street to die. This is how pathetic we Humans have become, that we have lost empathy towards anything and anyone.
The least that Humans can do is, be vigilant towards their child and be attentive on every action they make towards anyone or any animal. Just because it is an animal, the heinous act cannot be ignored, the hurt and agony the poor animal goes through, no one can even think about the pain and trauma that poor animal deals with and do you think it is even justified? No it isn’t, the pain, agony, the cries, we hear it, we deal with it and those cries are terrible, unbearable to be heard and just because it is your child, you simply keep your child under cover while ditching the poor hurting animal.
This behavior needs to be corrected, as I believe, karma exists and everyone who cause pain to any animal, that person goes through the same agony himself.
