All the pet owners know what are maggots and some time in a lifetime must have been through it, for sure. Maggots are larva of a fly, which are found on your pet’s wound. One of the reason it is said that keep a closer look on your pet if they have any wound on the body. The wound is the house to these flies. As these flies produces 100-300 eggs at a time known as Maggots. These maggots are flesh eating, once they grow they start to eat flesh and causes itching to your furry friend. These larvas hatches in a day and are multiplied in quantity and this can cause serious health issues to your pets if not treated on time.
Whenever you spot a wound on your pet or start having bad smell from your dog then know, the pet has maggots. It is better to treat the wound as to take out the maggots is an endless job!! Treat your dog on time before the maggots start eating your pet’s flesh.
Always have a anti-bacterial spray and a surgery scissor in the first aid kit, as you never know when you need it.
