Russian President Signs Bill To Ban All Forms Of Animal Cruelty

Finally!! What a great news it is. As an animal activist, I am sure every person from all over the globe who think Animals have the equal right to live on this earth will be relieved to find out that an amazing Russian President Mr. Vladimir Putin has signed a decree responsible treatment of animals which outlaws any kind of mistreatment and cruelty to animals. It also mentions to establish the rules for pet ownership according to the documents uploaded by the official online database of Russian Legislative information last week.

This wasn’t easy, as the law took eight long years to be passed by the Russian Parliament. The law enforces on pet ownership, humane treatment towards Animals and any step taken against Animal Cruelty. It also outlaws any Animal used as a source of entertainment and cultural events. The new law emphasizes on “free movement of animals in areas with road traffic, in lifts and other areas of common use in residential buildings, as well as yards, recreational areas, playgrounds and sporting rounds. The document also mentions that the specific dangerous breeds can walk on a leash but with muzzle on. The list of breeds shall be shared by the Russian Government.

At last but not the least, animals won’t be allowed to be kept at the Zoos and at the bars and restaurants.
