How does it feels to be in Isolation, depression, chained and abused for 35 years of life! Nobody can answer this question except of the poor animal who lived his life in imprisonment dealt with serious ‘zoochosis‘ this means that Kaavan was in serious depression and in anxiety. A lot of people who had no idea what Kaavan was going through only answered same thing when they were asked “Why does Kaavan sways his head?” They replied “Because he is so happy”, ridiculous! They didn’t know that Kaavan was in depression.
After spending most of life in a closed enclosure, his expressions had a tale to tell. He lost his only friend ‘Saheli’ who died in front of his eyes in 2013. He was known as the ‘loneliest elephant’ all over the globe. Now after fighting for Kaavan’s freedom, he is now finally in his permanent new home in Cambodia’s Sanctuary living the life that he deserves. We wish Kaavan the very best in life and hope none of the Animals live in such miserable condition in any part of the World.
