Your Dog Has Got Ticks: What To Do?

A very common issue with the pets is that they tend to have ticks and fleas-it is not because of them, but it is because of the muddy area they live in. Having an excessive hair on the body tends hide the ticks therefore, they are not easily spotted until you get to see it on their ear, neck, toenails, the most common area of these ticks is the closed areas on the body-to be precise, the space between the nails, near eyes, whiskers, ear area, near the genitals. Basically, these areas the ones which are easily targeted by these ticks.

Ticks are of course a blood sucking insect, which can easily increase in size if not taken out immediately from the body of the Animal, as it caused pain and itch to the pet as well. If there are more than one tick present then you need to act immediately, as they multiply and increase in size as well as numbers hence, they would get so many at once that you wouldn’t be able to count them as well. These ticks such blood and makes the pet sick which develops Tick Fever in the animal and if the temperature increases, the pet won’t be able to survive.

How You Can Help Your Pet Avoiding To Have Ticks, here is what you need to know:

1- Keep them clean, check their body thoroughly, examine them;

2- Use tick/flea power regularly as mentioned in the description of the powder or spray;

3- If you dog goes out in the mud to play (as it is naturally), make sure you clean his feet upon returning inside the house;

4- Giving him bath every twice a week is sufficient enough to keep him neat;

Monitoring your pet’s movement is also important because that’s how you would know that whether he has developed the outbreak of the ticks or not.

Hence, be careful and please take care of your pets. Once you have them at your place, make sure you take care of them the way you keep your kids. They also require attention and care, which is very important to look after to as they are your fur babies.

Think about it.
