Every single day, there isn’t a moment that I scroll my social media and I don’t get to see cases about Animal Cruelty. It sends shiver down my spine when I read about the animal cruelty. May it be any country, the sad part is that everyone is just not doing anything about it. These Animals are not just a living being, they are our responsibility, we are supposed to take care of their needs and provide all the basic necessities that our Lord has defined us to do.

On the other end, I am bit contended because atleast due to the help of Social Media, we get more awareness and we are able to spread the word around that even it shakes the higher authorities and they are able to determine the culprit. Recently there was a case of a man who hung a pregnant dog and when his video went viral, the animal activists headed to the same place in order to get a hold of that person and put him behind the bars, unfortunately what happened is that man is out of the prison! because, his punishment was only Rs. 50/- PKR, which much amount is not sufficient enough to set an example to the masses because then this punishment is actually a joke! It is ridiculous that our higher authorities are not putting a staunch bill against these monsters in our society, who are actually murderers and dangerous to one’s household. If a man can do such kind of an act then he can actually be very violent at home as well.

It is our duty to identify them, if they are in our neighborhood, society, friend circle or in family, these people are not safe to be around and hence should be kept behind the bars.
