Phosphorus bombing, also known as white phosphorus bombing, can indeed be hazardous to both human and animal health. White phosphorus is a highly reactive substance that ignites when exposed to air and burns at extremely high temperatures. When used in bombing or artillery shells, it can cause severe burns, respiratory distress, and even death in humans and animals.

The use of white phosphorus in conflict can result in several health hazards for animals:

  1. Burns: Animals caught in the vicinity of a phosphorus explosion can suffer severe burns, which can lead to pain, suffering, and long-term injuries. This can be particularly devastating for wildlife in affected areas.
  2. Inhalation: Inhalation of white phosphorus fumes can cause respiratory distress in animals, leading to coughing, choking, and potentially fatal lung damage.
  3. Contamination of Water and Soil: Phosphorus contamination from the residue of explosions can enter the soil and water supply, potentially harming aquatic life, plant life, and the entire ecosystem in the affected area.
  4. Poisoning: Ingesting phosphorus-containing particles or contaminated food can lead to toxic poisoning in animals, which can result in various health issues or even death.

As we have seen and heard it in the news and those footages that have be shared on the news channel regarding phosphorous bombing, it was shared already that this bomb would be hazardous to the health of the Humans as well as Animals, I just hope that this doesn’t escalates anymore.
