It is weird when I come across people with a different of equal to a low mindset where they claim that to have Animals in Nature is utterly useless as they have no contribution to the nature neither the mother earth. This was couple of days ago, when I received a call from a senior Lady where she had contacted me for getting one of the stray animal moved (not rescued) from her vicinity, the moment she began talking, I realized that such people also exist in our society who have no filters to their language, neither consider any four legged worth living. She began with “I have zero tolerance for Animals, why do they even exist, the birds are all over the garden, they drop their droppings everywhere, it’s such a nuisance”, she went on for quite a long time, and I just quietly kept listening because I wanted to see how far and how long can she go against the Nature and Creator. For such people, Awareness program are held and I am so glad that I teach such people some sanity by talking some sense about Animals and their existence and how much important it is on our Land.
Try to be kind to these Animals because this land on which we proudly walk on and claim as ours, actually belongs to them as well because our Lord, also created this land for them and it is our responsibility to correct our acts and work for the betterment of the Society, before we end up in multiple diseases if we eradicate these Animals.
- Compassion and empathy: Stray animals are often vulnerable and in need of help. Showing mindfulness towards them demonstrates compassion and empathy, recognizing their basic needs and acknowledging their right to a safe and healthy life.
- Animal welfare: Stray animals may face various challenges such as hunger, illness, injury, and exposure to harsh weather conditions. By being mindful towards them, individuals and communities can take steps to improve their welfare, such as providing food, water, shelter, and medical care.
- Public health: Stray animals can pose public health risks by spreading diseases such as rabies and parasites. Being mindful towards stray animals involves taking measures to control their population through methods like spaying/neutering to prevent overpopulation and reduce the risk of disease transmission.
- Environmental impact: Stray animals can have environmental impacts, such as preying on wildlife or disrupting ecosystems. Being mindful towards stray animals involves considering their impact on the environment and taking steps to mitigate any negative effects.
- Community responsibility: Stray animals are part of our communities, and being mindful towards them involves recognizing our shared responsibility for their welfare. This can involve efforts at both individual and community levels, such as supporting local animal shelters, volunteering, or advocating for humane treatment and responsible pet ownership.
Overall, being mindful towards stray animals is important for promoting animal welfare, public health, environmental sustainability, and fostering a more compassionate society. If you cannot do anything about them, then the least that you can do is, reach out to the Animal welfare so that they can help these Animals.
