It is sometimes very hard to digest the fact that there are people around us who mistreat their pets. The impact of torture and mistreatment by their owners fall on their pet is unbearable. Why do we humans take our frustration out on animals, the one who cannot speak for justice, cannot complain and just go through the pain that their master is giving them. It is a heart breaking fact and we need to stop anyone who does this kind of an act.

There are wonderful videos and pictures scattered all over the social media about how cute the German Shepherd puppies are and how well they are being treated on their birthdays, but there is another side of the story too, where such videos are also shared of the owners who are brutally hitting the dog and laughing while making the video. It is heart wrenching to see such an inhumane act. Does anyone realizes that what are we teaching our future generation? Children learn from their parents and if parents are showing such an attitude towards their pet then what would they expect from their own children.  It is very important to watch your actions in front of your kids. Little actions, behavior towards the pet- every little thing is watched by your child and whether you know it or not, your child is going to do that thing all over again behind or in front of you.

My heart literally breaks into pieces when I hear pet parents saying that they have actually bought a puppy as a Christmas gift for their child. Hold on! What does a Christmas Gift has to do with a puppy? That puppy is a living being and once you plan to adopt that puppy it means that the puppy has given his trust in you for the rest of his life. There are numerous incidents where you might flare up with rage or break into tears. At times we are left speechless with the fact to see that Humans have lost sanity!

It is time to think twice before you own a pet. Always remember- a pet is forever and we need to be responsible enough to take care of them. We think twice before having an addition in the human family, now it is time to think twice before adopting a pet in family because for that pet we are his whole world and for humans, the pet is part of our life!
