Mondays are always stressful as it’s the first day of the week after the weekend and to top it off, I got a notification that a Giraffe has been spotted in my City (Karachi)- Pakistan. Since then- I am just amazed with the Humans thought process!

It is time that people should start learn to differentiate between their needs and luxuries. I really don’t understand that why do you actually need to have a Giraffe as a domestic pet? How can it be? Why don’t they realize that, these animals belong to the wild and not in the City to be taken care as a pet. They have their own sanctuary and their lives revolves around their own herd! When will people understand this theory. I am feeling so devastated since the time I got to know about this poor animal being held in captivity. It is just not me, who has come up with so many thoughts at the same time but the people who care for the Animals and their Rights have the same ideology as mine and it is really shocking to accept the bitter reality. Couple of years back, there was a person who lived in the same locality, had owned a Cub and that Cub actually fled from the house and was spotted on the road and somehow the authorities were able to get hold of him after several hours of search. Then there was a social media chaos which occurred because of our all-rounder cricket player Shahid Afridi, who had clicked a picture of his daughter with a chained Lion who seemed sedated. That particular picture was so devastating for every person that it got viral and the Cricketer had to answer the people!

We as animal activist just got over with that news, that now this post has hit the social media! It seems as if nobody gave a heed to the earlier bashings that they are back again to start one now! This is totally unacceptable by all the animal lovers and activists. It is time that people should start learn to live and let live!
